Musirion AI v1.0 update: more accurate piano recognition
During the first month of Musirion AI alpha testing, we studied real user uploads, analyzed difficult cases, and prepared a major model update.
In version v1.0, we have fully updated the recognition architecture. The new model converts solo piano performances into sheet music more accurately and performs better at detecting note onsets, durations, hand assignment, and several expressive playing techniques.
Version v1.0 also brings several important improvements to the musical analysis pipeline:
- key signature detection has become much more stable;
- the model can now recognize trills, arpeggiated chords, and grace notes;
- tempo detection has been added to produce more complete sheet music output.
Technical details
On our internal test set of classical solo piano performances, the new model achieved the following results:
- Onset accuracy: 95%
- Duration accuracy: 93%
- Staff F1: 97%
- Ornaments F1: 80%
